Maybe contract talks will take 46 years, too

Surprise, surprise.

What was once considered about as sure a thing as this free agent market could provide this offseason is now on a bit of shaky ground.

Per the Philadelphia Inquirer via Rotoworld, talks with Jamie Moyer are progressing slowly. Insert your own Moyer pitch speed joke here.

With reports of offer-then-eh-maybe-not-just-interest in Derek Lowe, it’s beginning to look like we might be chewing our fingernails over the starting pitcher situation for a while.

Rotoworld also reiterates Philly’s interest in infielder Nick Punto, but there’s no word of an offer as of yet.
